Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programmes 2021-2027 National Launch

Léargas and the Higher Education Authority launched the new Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programme in Ireland, online at 10 am on 22 June.  The new programmes will bring funding of more than €40 million into Ireland this year alone, and address key national and European priorities:

  • Inclusion,
  • Active Participation, 
  • Support for the Environment and Sustainability
  • and Digital transitions.

Chaired by Méabh McMahon of Euronews, this eventful and inspiring morning included:

  • Context of the new programmes from Lorraine Gilligan, Executive Director of Léargas, and Gerry O’Sullivan, Head of International Programmes in the Higher Education Authority
  • Messages from Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, and Simon Harris TD, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science
